Moranbah North is seeking an experienced Gas Drainage Coordinator to join our award-winning business. Using your specialist knowledge of underground gas drainage practices, you will lead the management and coordination of all underground gas drainage activities.
Your zero harm mindset will be forefront of all activities as you contract manage underground in seam drilling, participate in the permit to mine process, liaise closely with the Operations and Engineering teams to enable effective in seam drilling and gas drainage to take place. Your ability to compile and analyse data to facilitate gas drainage design and performance improvements is paramount to the role. You will ensure that legislative and corporate requirements are met and that all gas drainage issues are understood and managed in order to maintain a safe underground working environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have at least five years demonstrated experience in an underground operation and in-depth knowledge of Coal Mine Gas Drainage and legislative requirements. Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering (or related mining discipline) will be preferred. You will have the ability to provide technical and operational leadership with a strong commitment to health, safety and environment standards. Your drive to consistently deliver against performance targets and seek continuous improvement will be key to your success in the role.
This is a full time permanent staff role working a Monday to Friday position based in Moranbah.
