Reporting directly to the Project & Studies Manager, the Civil Superintendent is responsible for the implementation and management of upcoming construction of the TMF cell lift, process plant improvement projects, concentrate handling facility and road upgrades.

This is a newly created position, which has been identified as critical in supporting the Projects team on a number of improvement projects which will operate on a FIFO 2:1 roster from Perth or Port Hedland with an initial 4-6 week period within our West Perth Corporate office. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ensuring projects are completed as per the project specifications and requirements.

Responsible for the supervision of contractor & sub-contractor groups to ensure that design, technical and quality standards are achieved safely and according to time and budget.

Assist in the preparation of contract scope of works and commercial tender reviews

Work closely with Project Control team to ensure scheduling, forecasting and other deliverables are met to the required internal standards

Liaise with Contracts & Procurement team to capture works variations and assist in progress claims and contract management.

Maintaining the project/study schedule and budget, including change management

Undertake investigations and report on results

Project quality management, including frequent inspections

Ensure management are kept on to date on progress or on matters that affect the progress of the works

Contribute to estimating and scheduling components of works execution planning.


You will be tertiary qualified in engineering or have extensive related experience in engineering or mining construction

Solid experience and knowledge of mining construction projects

An effective communicator with demonstrated leadership skills

Good organisational and systematic planning skills with an ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced team environment

Knowledge of statutory safety requirements with a commitment to safety and the environment

Proficient in MS Office suite, as well as Pronto experience highly regarded

Current WA C-class manual drivers licence
