Perilya Broken Hill Ltd is currently recruiting for an Underground Mine Geologist to join the Geology Department.

The Role

Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, the Underground Mine Geologist aims to add value in areas of safety, teamwork, grade control, resource definition and extensional discovery. Key responsibilities will include:

Provide a geological service to the business, including assessment and mitigation of geological risk to mining operations
Develop geological models using Vulcan software
Design and executes diamond drill plans

What you need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will hold a tertiary qualification in Geology with a minimum of three years experience in underground mining operations, experience using mining software (Vulcan desired), experience in designing diamond drill programmes, leadership experience and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to safe work practices.

You must also hold a current manual driver’s licence.
