Reporting to the Improvement & Reliability Superintendent, this role provides technical support across all areas of accountability within the Open Cut Engineering and Maintenance department. 

You will lead the site Hydrocarbon Management initiatives and leverage off other Glencore sites and Corporate best practice.  Holding accountability for implementing systems and standards in maintenance asset management, condition and performance monitoring streams, you will have a strong focus on strategic maintenance initiatives to achieve target reliability and optimisation of total asset costs of the operation. 

You will assist in RCA investigations where required to identify root cause and develop solutions.  Managing a team consisting of 4 x Asset Health Officers and 2 x Condition Monitoring NDT Technicians, this team holds accountability for interpretation of Condition Monitoring data including: Oil Analysis, Non Destructive Testing and real time asset health monitoring.

You will hold a relevant Engineering Degree or Trade qualifications with at least 5 years’ experience in a Reliability role within the mining industry. You will have effective planning and negotiation skills with the ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have a sound knowledge of Safety systems, OH&S legislation and facilitate the governance and compliance to relevant Australian Standards. Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (SAP) is essential. A functional knowledge of processes such as Six Sigma/LEAN principles, FMECA/RCM and RCA will be highly regarded.
