We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced mid-level Hydrogeologist to join our Water team in Sydney on full-time basis.  It is expected that the person fulfilling the role will provide technical expertise as well as project management skills in a range of projects likely to include environmental assessment, infrastructure, mining and remediation projects for a variety of industries.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

Work as a Hydrogeologist within the Sydney Office Water team to support large, complex and challenging projects in our core areas of Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, Mining and Contaminated Groundwater and Remediation.

Help deliver high quality multidisciplinary projects for an array of local and international clients

Plan, organise, supervise and deliver hydrogeological investigation and testing programs, including providing interpretation of geological and hydrogeological data, with senior input

Manage and deliver groundwater and soil intrusive investigations

Design and implement of soil and groundwater assessment programs for small- and large-scale environmental projects

Assist in managing projects, incorporating team building/mentoring, resource management, financial management, risk management, quality management, technical delivery of groundwater projects - Project Management is a key attribute for this role

Contribute as a staff member to group, team or office goals

Integrate technical inputs from project peers to deliver the project outcome

Coordinate contract management, including suppliers and sub-contractors

Deliver reports, documents, proposals incorporating senior review

Client interface and relationship management - a key attribute for this role

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology or equivalent, ideally with post graduate qualifications and other appropriate continuing education

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

Strong communication and influencing skills to enable delivery of client focussed services to a diverse group of professionals

Ability to develop client relationships, engage with clients directly

Ability to integrate into projects built with a team of professionals

Draw upon technical expertise of others when required, to deliver the project outcome

Ideally certification by an appropriate professional organisation
