Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will deliver planning services for the Production and Maintenance departments by ensuring the development of accurate and timely forecast plans. The role interfaces closely with coordinators and fellow planners to ensure that the mining process and maintenance activities align with the mine production plan. You will also collaborate with managers and superintendents to identify improvement opportunities for operations and maintenance.

The core priority of this role is to apply disciplined and proven methods of work management to develop a fit-for-purpose plan and schedule, which is resourced and communicated to ensure assets are maintained at optimum levels for the mine. 

You will possess relevant trade or engineering qualifications, significant experience in maintenance planning/scheduling, a proven track record in SAP, a thorough understanding of work control process and requirements and knowledge of business reporting and asset management systems. Asset costing and budgeting experience within heavy industry and underground coal diesel fleet, exceptional communication skills and a passion for continuous improvement will be essential. A high-level knowledge of SAP as well as P6 / MS Projects and a solid understanding of the coal mining process and relevant mining legislation will be essential for this role.  Additionally, a trade background would be highly advantageous.

This role will be offered on a Monday to Friday, residential basis in Moranbah
