With extensive operations in the Midwest region of Western Australia we are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner to support one of our projects in the region. As the Maintenance Planner you will apply best practices in maintenance planning and scheduling of processes to optimise the use of the workforce and improve machine reliability on site.

Key responsibilities of this position will include:

Development of plan (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually) to ensure all maintenance and servicing activities are completed as required

Conduct and record weekly review of the previous weeks plan, documenting any reasons for non-delivery of assigned tasks and continually working with stakeholders to eliminate causes of non-delivery

Ensuring scheduled servicing of all mobile & fixed plant is completed in a timely

manner and recorded in accordance with company requirements

Major works control – ensuring all materials are onsite, overseeing personnel on the job to ensure correct tagging and JHA’s are in place, and staying with job to ensure it runs smoothly

Coordination of equipment downtime in conjunction with Maintenance and Operations

Assist in failure analysis when equipment fails unexpectantly

Provide data, analysis and advice on maintenance performance as required

Required skills and attributes:

Recognised trade qualification, preferably mechanical

5+ years’ experience in Maintenance planning

Expertise and knowledge in planning and planning methodology

An understanding of reliability practices

Sound product knowledge of Caterpillar, Komatsu & Hitachi products

Excellent written (including report writing) and oral communication skills

You must be authorised to work in Australia
