An exciting opportunity has arisen for a AHS area Manager to join Komatsu’s Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) department based in Welshpool. Reporting to the AHS Project Manager, the role Manages the relationship between Komatsu and our customers AHS operations, Including day to day management of site Support teams, Issue Escalation and Continuous Improvement activities
Key Responsibilities include:
The AHS Area manager will be accountable for the following tasks:
System update and upgrade installation management (high level scheduling, risk assessment, change management etc.);
Management of operational on-Site teams;
Replication of best practice across multiple sites;
Serve as a conduit for AHS Site Support specialists in their communication with the remaining tiers of off-site support Personnel from Komatsu or MMS;
Consolidate technical issues from AHS Sites ;
Manage and communicate ticketing system action items;
Manage and consolidate Continuous Improvement initiatives from their respective regions.
The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:
Previous experience in an AHS work environment
Working knowledge of Quality Maintenance Control Systems and active in promoting its principals.
Experience in Safety Management Systems
Experience in Project Management
Proven documentation skills
High personal and professional standards of behaviour and ethics
Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development and high performance – minimum 5 years
Customer service history
Komatsu Mining Equipment experience
Exposure to AHS Central Controller and Pit Patroller operation
Post trade technical/leadership qualifications
IT training and programming
Basic understanding of database operation
Significant experience with major Komatsu customers in the Pilbara Region.
Significant mine site operational experience
Experience in Fleet Management Systems or similar – Dispatch/Front-Runner etc.
