St Barbara Limited are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager (Fixed Plant) to join our highly engaged and dynamic workforce within our Simberi Operations in PNG on a FIFO basis on a three (3) year contract.
Reporting to the General Manager Simberi, the successful incumbent will lead and manage day to day maintenance activities of the processing plant as well as the power plant operations in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. Simberi is currently in the final stages of Prefeasibility for a sulphide plant expansion for the processing facility. This position will play a key part in the future outcomes of this project.
Managing maintenance planning including plan to define availability, shutdowns and preventative maintenance.
Implement a work management process including a reliability centred maintenance strategy for the process plant
Develop long term asset management strategy for the process plant including identification of key sustaining and expansionary capital projects
Monitoring and managing all aspects of the workshop and asset management
Building, developing and leading an effective and increasingly capable Process Maintenance team
Managing the Power Station to ensure continuous power supply to Simberi Operations
Managing effective use of available resources, including own time, in support of the development and delivery of effective Process Maintenance services
Managing the department budget and preparing reports
Responsible for all Process Plant maintenance requirements including site services
Make a difference in the maintenance team and add value to the organisation
The successful candidate will have:

Ability to implement work management systems and processes
Highly developed understanding and compliance of safety and environmental legislation within a maintenance department and within processing operations
Experience in scheduling and developing methods of maintenance and repairs
Development of maintenance budgets, record management and report preparation
Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with site personnel, suppliers and customers
Previous expatriate experience in a similar work environment
Minimum 10 years in similar management positions
Project Management experience
Exposure to brownfield expansion projects
Demonstrated high level of computer literacy (MS Office, Pronto)
