Key roles and responsibilities include:

Ensuring own health & Safety as well as that of other workers, identifying and maintaining safe work practices and completing all required safety training.

Providing assistance to the mining engineer in maintaining the routine daily dig plans for discussion with the production geologist and mine production personnel before distribution.

Ensuring that all information associated with the daily production activities are collected, checked and the respective data base updated on a daily basis.

Ensuring that all updated GC modelled ore blocs are current and updated regularly on the A3/weekly plans and field.

Assisting the mine engineer/mine geologist by overseeing the geo samplers in ensuring that all sampling procedures including sample submission and number sequence is done correctly.

Providing assistance to the other functions within the Technical Service team where required including liaison with mining supervisors and other operations personnel.

Assisting the Mining Engineers and the Mine Geologists in the monitoring and management of stockpiles within the mine pits and the blending process at the Sorowar and Pigiput Rom.

Assist mine engineers to undertake truck cycle time study for the mine to incorporate into the haulage setup plans

Assist senior staff by organising the distribution of various data process material to the respective offices within the mine as part of the morning routine.

Assist mine engineers to develop blast pattern designs, ramp designs and stockpile/dump designs

Assist mine engineers to develop project scopes, plans, costings and schedule

Assist mine dispatchers and mine engineers to develop various production reports

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

Tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering;

Competent user of MS Office Suites, preferably Excel;

Some knowledge or exposure of design software skills such AutoCAD, Minesight or similar softwares

Knowledge of contemporary technology applied to exploration and mining engineering;

Self-leadership skills and management of priorities;

Strong and adequate communication skills, written and verbal;

High quality standards of deliverables.

Has strong drive and willingness to learn and drive his or her training

Some mining industry experience would be an advantage but not necessary
