We are seeking experienced candidates for three vacancies for the role of Shot Crete Operator/Nozzleman.
The principal function of this role is to operate the underground shotcrete machine in a safe and efficient manner to ensure production requirements and quality standards are achieved while focusing on knowledge transfer to the local workforce.
These are the key components of this role:
Operate the shotcrete machine in a safe and efficient manner to ensure production, development and quality targets are met or exceeded.
Identify opportunities to improve on the systems and processes of the shotcreteing underground.
Focus on knowledge transfer of all requirements to perform this role to the local workforce with the intent to develop local employees to be able to fully perform the role.
Demonstrate by completion of 18 months of service that at least three nationals have been trained to an adequate level of competency as assessed by the underground mining manager.
In order to be considered you will need to demonstrate the following:
A minimum of 10 years working underground, and 5 years of this operating a shotcrete spray rig
Expatriate mining experience, preferably within the African continent.
French-speaking highly desirable
Strong organizational skills
Active listening and speaking
Change management, team development and supervision skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
