The Opportunity:

The Komatsu Technical Academy (KTA) has a key role available at the Sherwood branch for a Training & Facilities Coordinator.

This is a multi-faceted role that will contribute to the ongoing success of KTA and provide valuable support to trainers, students and the overall training academy.

The Role - Training Support

Design, upgrade & develop training aids for the delivery of training as requested.

Request quotes for training aids, tooling and equipment in a timely manner.

Ensure all tools are accounted for at the completion of training session as per the Master Inventory List.

Assist in the supervision of students when required.

Maintain frequent and collaborative relationships with the Technical Support Team.

Safely operate the forklift to move training equipment.

Aid in training when practical days are running.

The Role - Facilities Support

Coordinate travel schedules & carry out pickup and drop off of students and other visitors to the branch.

Safely operate a 21 seater bus.

Arrange servicing and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times.

Keep the outside of the building presentable including some gardening duties.

Dispatch and receive trainers road cases and simulators.

Carry out regular cleaning of training bays and labs and ensure kept neat and tidy at all times.

Ensure a high standard of personal presentation when collecting Senior Managers and visitors.

Daily delivery of mail and goods between the Sherwood and Wacol branches.

Ensure workshop floors and walkways are maintained including painting and cleaning

Organise the tool room into a functioning store.

Maintain safety equipment - including eye wash stations and shower etc

The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:

A trade qualification in welding and/or manufacturing, fitter & turner - advantageous

Have a technical aptitude

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with management, staff and customers.

Computer literate with skills using Microsoft Office programs.

Hold a current High Risk forklift licence

Have a current MR - medium rigid licence and be able to provide a current driving history report.
