About the Role: 

You will Lead the deployment and embedment of Reliability engineering systems and processes to ensure Orica manufacturing sites move towards the proactive reliability domain .

Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of reliability-based asset maintenance strategies for all assets to support the achievement of site safety, cost and production objectives.

This position is based from our Cannon Hill office, it is expected that you will travel to various Orica manufacturing locations, 30% of the time domestically and internationally. 

What you will be doing:  

Leads the governance of deployed maintenance strategies to ensure any improvements and changes are implemented appropriately to allow achieving quality, consistency and sharing of best strategies across manufacturing.

Supports sites in developing Master Data for critical equipment and ensures maintenance plans for critical activities such as statutory inspections and services for critical equipment are in place in SAP.

Support the development, implementation and embedment of Defect Elimination and RCA processes across all sites to continuously eliminate production and maintenance losses and achieve required plant OEE.

Audit sites to assess their maturity in their achievement of Orica Asset Management framework and support the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities.

Engage with relevant Asset Management teams, Maintenance and Site Managers so as to ensure correct focus on opportunities for improvement. 

Ensures sites master data meets 4S and Global manufacturing standard to facilitate the application of work management.

What you bring 

At least 10 years demonstrable experience in maintenance management in asset intensive and complex manufacturing, mining or chemical plant environment with solid understanding of maintenance and reliability principles and processes including work management, shutdown management, defect elimination and maintenance strategies.

Degree in engineering or trade background with extensive maintenance management experience.

Extensive experience in SAP Plant Maintenance and Master Data principles.

Deep knowledge of reliability methods such as Root Cause Analysis (RCAs,), Reliability Centre Maintenance (RCM) and systems to apply these methods e.g. Apollo root Cause Analysis)

Experience developing project business cases and plans to translate improvement opportunities in the reliability area into initiatives that bring demonstrable value to the business.  

Experience on establishment of overarching Maintenance and Reliability Policy/Frameworks at a global level
