Reporting to the Fleet Performance Manager, the Fleet Performance Specialist is a dedicated site based role responsible for the provision of mobile maintenance technical support and services support to the customer.
Supported by the WesTrac Support Services Teams, the primary function of this role is to assist the customer in the execution of operational and maintenance strategies which optimise overall fleet performance outcomes. The Fleet Performance Specialist will assist the customer’s maintenance teams to achieve high levels of availability and reliability and ensure that the fleet remains operating safely.
This role is based at BHP South Flank, operating on a 4 day on, 3 days off roster.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Work with the customer and WesTrac Support Teams to forecast and plan major shutdowns and overhauls
Work with branches and Perth labour pool to coordinate labour when required to assist customer in large repairs or remove and install tasks
Arrange component failure analysis for all failed components and recommend corrective actions
Work collaboratively with the WesTrac Technical Services Team and Customer Maintenance Team to ensure the best outcome for WesTrac and the customer
Ensure parts failures, as provided by BHP, are recorded in the OEM systems (Service Information System);
Participate in maintenance execution meetings;
Provide technical support to the BHP mobile maintenance team;
Exhibit a committed safety focus in all work and behaviour;
Assist BHPIO to maximise factory warranty opportunity by identifying warranty items and assist BHPIO in submitting claims;
Report on condition and performance of fleet as required;
Strive to assist BHPIO to exceed machine availability and reliability KPIs;
Deliver continuous improvement recommendations to improve product related issues;
Provide BHPIO superintendents with all relevant product update information (Service Magazines) Increase the level of machine knowledge amongst BHPIO’s Personnel by passing on knowledge;
Provide recommendations to BHPIO based on condition monitoring data to increase component lives;
Discussion with Analyse and Improve (A&I) and Maintenance Superintendents.
This role would suit a person with a trade background and a strong mechanical or Electrical aptitude with customer relationship management experience. The role will require a person with minimum 5 years post trade experience, good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. A good working knowledge & understanding of the Dealer systems would be preferable, but is not essential
