 About The Role

We are looking for a Belt Maintainer to prepare and carry out shutdown and breakdown maintenance on conveyor systems plus assist with other maintenance teams as required, within the fixed plant area. This role is a great opportunity for someone with a strong belt maintenance background to work in a safe and collaborative team environment.

Working a residential role on a 6 days on, 6 off roster and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

·         Conveyor inspections to Identify common belt damage and mechanical faults

·         Determining the method of repair and or replacement

·         Carrying out steel cord & fabric conveyor belt splicing and repairs

·         Operate mechanical conveyor belt handling equipment such as winders, winches and belt stands

·         Sourcing parts in preparation for shutdowns and playing a key role in the execution of shutdown activities

·         Ensuring safe work procedures are followed at all times

·         Consistently executing safe conveyor system maintenance during shutdowns and breakdowns

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

·         Demonstrated experience working in fixed plant conveyor system maintenance, including; skirt and scraper systems maintenance and roller replacements

·         C Class manual driver’s licence

·         Strong commitment to safety & quality

·         Experience operating conveyor vulcanising equipment as well as belt handling equipment, including winders, winches and belt stands

 It will also be beneficial if you have:

·         Additional qualifications such as Confined Spaces & Working at Heights tickets

·         Current Dogging and Rigging tickets

·         MR or HR License

·         Certificate III in Polymer Processing-Belt Splicing
