Job Description

The Role

Reporting to the OHS Superintendent, you will be responsible for Health, Safety & Training, supporting Cracow Operations. The successful candidate will be required to have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant industry legislation, experience with training systems as well as the coordination and implementation of Health and Safety programs.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform the injury and incident management process and return to work coordination, including being site medic on emergency call.

Be an active and leading member of the Emergency Response Team.

Prepare, organise and conduct training, including inductions, and maintain the training systems for the operation.

Maintain and continuously improve the site OHS Management System (OHSMS).  Improve injury performance and mitigate risk on site.

Participate in, facilitate and/or lead ICAM incident investigations and risk assessments.

Audit, inspect and verify to ensure that required records are maintained and that the quality of the records is consistent with Legislation, Aeris Resources and site standards.

Assist with the management and accountabilities of the site corrective action register.

Assist with the compilation of scheduled statutory and Aeris Resources reports.

Establish and maintain an understanding of legislative and corporate requirements, including Evolution Standards, QLD Mining & Quarrying Safety & Health legislation.

Set an example and standard by personal leadership in the field. Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Aeris Resources values.

Provide coaching and mentoring to Site H&S Representatives and workforce on safety, training, assessment, and record and document management.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

At least 3 years' experience in the Health and Safety field.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety

Proficient using Microsoft Office programmes

Desirable experience in the Bowtie software, INX and auditing

Possess a Current Drivers Licence

A demonstrated commitment to health and safety with in-depth knowledge of legislative requirements

Previous experience in a similar role in the Underground Mining sector is desirable
