Your Opportunity:

In line with Barminco's forecasted growth, we are seeking applications from Heavy Duty Mechanics for various Barminco Operations and rosters in both Western Australia and Queensland to work on our Modern Fleet of Underground Mining Equipment.

Barminco can offer you the opportunity to upskill for a Dual Trade qualification after a qualifying period. Training provided at our state of the art training facilities. Barminco are leading the way in Automation and Innovation with our Electronic Control Systems, and our modern feet of Equipment

Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman you will be required to attend breakdowns and first response problem solving in the field & Underground along with scheduled maintenance.

These positions are FIFO from Perth, Brisbane & Townsville.

Your Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe workplace through daily inspections for hazards

Perform maintenance according company standards and work instructions

Be proactive in all preventative maintenance procedures to ensure quality repairs are maintained

Maintain critical maintenance data on a daily basis

Diagnose faults and recommend repairs / improvements

Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems

Breakdown repairs and servicing of heavy mining equipment

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years post trade experience, maintaining truck components, in particular experience with Kenworth, Volvo, Scania and Cummins Engines.

Australia Recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate

Ability to FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville and Perth

C' Class Drivers Licence.

Ability to work autonomously 

Demonstrated abilities to work within a team environment
