Mount Isa Mines are looking for a Project Resource Geologist to support life of mine planning and asset extension projects. This challenging role will see you work closely in a multidisciplinary team to ensure organisational goals are met. The remuneration for this role can range from $111,000 - $130,000.00 dependent on depth of experience, qualifications and skills the successful candidate will bring to the position.

This is a permanent full-time role based residentially in Mount Isa, working a 5/2, 4/3 (9-day fortnight) roster.

You will be responsible for:

Assisting with the preparation of resource reports for NQ Copper Operations.

Planning and execution of resource definition programs for extension projects.

Ensure that logging and mapping data validations are completed.

Complete structural and geological surface updates with validated logging and mapping data.

When required, complete grade control updates and document in a timely manner.

Know the JORC code and report all resource models accordingly.

Plan and review geological and geo-metallurgical data interpretation and modelling processes.

Infill drill planning, scheduling and budgeting.

Provide technical expertise and support to projects and other functions.

Contribute towards the Resource Range Analyses and drill hole planning (brownfields).

Mine to Mill reconciliation.

Training and mentoring junior staff.

Excellent geological software skills.

Exceptional communication skills.
