We are currently seeking applications from Hard Rock Mining Engineers with underground and open pit experience to work with us as consultants to the Mining Industry. Based out of our Brisbane office, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of fantastic, friendly people and become involved in various mining related studies and projects throughout Australia-Asia.

Core Functional Tasks & Key Responsibilities of this role include:
Undertaking open pit and underground mining studies, including pit optimisation, mine designs, schedules, reserve estimates, equipment selection, labour planning, rehabilitation studies, operating and capital cost estimates as part of a project team
Maintaining and developing professional and technical competencies in mining engineering to improve the quality of technical solutions and innovate through an understanding of best practice mining solutions
Delivering work within scope, on time and on budget with applied engineering principles
Ensuring that the methodology and tools used to undertake mining studies, ore reserve estimates and analysis are appropriate to attain the level of accuracy to meet the client requirements at minimum cost and comply with the appropriate codes
Identifying developments in mining practice and analysis techniques which offer opportunity for improved efficiency and business development
Key required skills, experience and attributes:
B.Eng. Mining or equivalent tertiary education from a recognized institution
Strong mining site experience, covering both production and mine planning environments with exposure to resource planning and scheduling
Relevant experience in the hard rock mining environment covering various mining methods in both underground and surface mining would be advantageous
Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency and Business Management qualification (e.g. MBA) would be advantageous. Literacy in one or more mine planning software packages (including, but not limited to: Surpac, Datamine, Deswik, Minex, Whittle, NPV Scheduler, Mine 2-4D, Talpac, Xpac, Super user experience) is also desirable
