A production driller vacancy currently exists in the Mining Drill and Blast department, working in the underground Copper mine. This is a residential position and requires you to work a roster of 4 days on, 4 days off, days and night shifts. Occasionally you may be required to work in all parts of the mining area including Mount Isa Copper Operations and Ernest Henry Mining in Cloncurry when required.

The key accountabilities of the role are to:

- Perform a range of drilling duties associated with underground drilling
- Perform Risk Assessments / SLAM during course of duties
- Be accountable for your own personal safety and others
- Participate in shift change-over and pass on relevant safety & production critical information
- Effectively manage own time to maximize productivity and minimize wastage
- Ensure personal behaviour reflects company values - targeting a constructive culture
- Ensure full participation in target setting program

The successful candidate will ideally have:

- Minimum 5 years underground drilling experience (Other relevant experience will be considered)
- Experience with both Top Hammer (102mm) and In The Hole Hammer (140mm) production drill rigs, preferably Atlas Copco
- Production drill rig maintenance will be regarded highly 
- Experience with mine service work (service reticulation, ventilation)
- Basic equipment tickets (IT, Loader, Forklifts etc)
- Ability to read and understand technical mine plans and drill designs
- Knowledge and ability to manage drill consumables - Carbide and PCD consumables
