Position Summary

Downer Mining continues to strive forward with our WA projects in 2020; Karara, Cape Preston, Eliwana and Gruyere.

Securing 5 yr contract with FMG, we are seeking energetic and experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join the Downer Mining team on the new FMG-Eliwana mining project.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will focus on reliability and quality, whilst carrying out service and maintenance on mobile fleet such as Trucks, Dozers, Excavators and Graders in a mining environment.  You will be required to complete scheduled and breakdown maintenance in field and workshop as well as carrying out preventative maintenance inspections.


Demonstrated experience with CAT 785, D9 & D10 Dozers, LIEBHERR R9250 Excavators, 14M,16M Graders, - ESSENTIAL

Experience in servicing ATLAS/EPIROC D65 Drill Rigs will be highly regarded

Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade Certificate

Strong team player and solid communication skills

Drive, enthusiasm and a passion to be the best in all that you do.

Valid Driver's Licence
