Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off.

This position is based at Phukham Tailings Storage Facility Department. Reporting to the Tailings Storage Facility and Geotechnical Manager, you will play a key role in providing and supporting the administrative work day by day to the Tailings Storage Facility department. So, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to them and answering the phone. Manage other activities as requested from the senior Administration Officer.

Your responsibilities will include:

Update databases or records with new information as it becomes available

Correct and modify inaccurate files and records

Enter data into appropriate fields; databases, records, and files

Transfer data from written records, interviews, and paper formats via computer, recorders, or scanners

Handle numerical data accurately

Create and organizing spreadsheets

Finalize contract accruals each moth

Summarizing and compiling data for standardized reports

View and verifying entries related to contractor unit rate and hire

Verifying data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation

Organizing paper formats, paper backups, and material source files as needed

Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at expected cost

Collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste

Translate document accurately

Assist in transport arrangements for department staff

General administration of department

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Excellent verbal and written English language skills

Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Office,  Word, Excel, Outlook

Prior secretarial experience preferred, but not required

Strong communication skills; ability to interact productively with supervisors, peers and subordinates

Superb organizational skills

Excellent time management

Prior experience with INX preferred

High school diploma or equivalent required
