THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Planning & Reliability Superintendent is responsible for leading and developing the planning and reliability function to deliver a safe, sustainable and reliable operation, in line with best practice, compliant with industry regulations, company policies, procedures and standards.

This is a newly created position, which has been identified as critical in maximising plant availability and ensuring sustained reliability with both engineering support and maintenance planning and scheduling functions.

This is a permanent opportunity and will operate on a FIFO 8/6, 4/3, 4/3 roster from Perth or Port Hedland. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ensure planning & scheduling protocols, systems and plans are in place that support the Maintenance & Operational teams in the execution of both routine and shutdown work.

Ensure effective engineering support, focused on sustaining reliability and plant availability, by benchmark engineering, condition monitoring and continuous improvement

Demonstrate a solid understanding and advocate the Company and industry safety and environmental standards, policies and procedures to ensure safe working systems are in place.

Provide clear and effective communication to relevant stakeholders regarding job allocation, task details, work methods, expectations and timeframes and encourage discussion and feedback.

Schedule routine equipment overhaul programs based on historical data.

Maintain change management, in line with department procedures, regarding master plant data within PRONTO including, but not limited to, asset hierarchy accuracy and consistency, plant documentation storage, BOMs, PM’s and master resource tables.

Order equipment and consumables not held as stock items through the store as part of work task planning.

ABOUT YOU:

Significant experience in fixed plant maintenance within the mining industry

A relevant trade or engineering qualification

Demonstrated root cause analysis and diagnostic skills

Strong organisational and systematic planning skills

An effective communicator with an ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced team environment

Good knowledge of statutory safety requirements with a commitment to safety and the environment

Proficient in MS Office suite, as well as Pronto experience highly regarded

Strong attention to detail with a focus on continuous improvement

Current WA C-class manual drivers licence
