Kempe has been working at Olympic Dam mine site for over 17 years as the principal contractor for Fluid Power Services for BHP from its local branch operations. We are currently seeking an individual with experience in Fluid Power as a Hydraulic Technician. Hands on experience in Fluid power/Hydraulics maintenance that can be demonstrated is essential, along with relevant trade qualifications.

Key responsibilities include:

Using test equipment to diagnose, repair and maintain fluid power components and systems
Recognising and recommending solutions to fluid power and engineering problems
Accurately and effectively identify and repair fluid power components such as pumps, cylinders, valves, reservoir accessories, motors, accumulators, hose, fittings and filtration systems.
Safely, effectively and accurately perform all types of maintenance work on hydraulic systems and associated equipment to the clients satisfaction
Diligently manage project/service workflow processes

The following qualifications and skills are required:

Mechanical trade qualified (fitter, fitter machinist, heavy vehicle mechanic) with high level of hydraulic technical experience
Experience in hydraulic hose assembly, tube manufacturing and installation
Formal Fluid Power post trade training or relevant industry experience
Be able to demonstrate sound business acumen

All suitably qualified and experienced candidates will be considered. Kempe Engineering will also consider sponsoring international applicants under the TSS 482 Visa Sponsor Program.

Salary range will be between $90,000 and $110,000 and includes provision of local accommodation.
