As the Longwall Electrical Coordinator reporting to the Longwall Superintendent, you will be responsible for the coordination of all electrical maintenance activities and resources on the Longwall. You will maintain electrically safe and productive equipment in accordance with the annual mining plan. As a senior member of the Longwall team, you will also act as the on-shift focal point for the implementation and leadership of continuous improvement initiatives and lead a systematic approach in the identification and delivery of sustainable electrical maintenance processes and methods.
You will build, lead and develop the electrical maintenance crews to deliver the annual plan with optimal performance, generally achieving high output from the team with high morale. You will ensure compliance with all people, safety, technical, operating and business systems, behaviours and culture in the Longwall Section.
To succeed in the role, you will hold an Electrical trade qualification or higher with a minimum of 5 years' maintenance experience at an underground coal mine. Experience within the Longwall environment will be highly regarded, as will experience in a similar role. You will hold current Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3, G2) and will have demonstrated abilities leading a team and driving performance. Your strong people management and coordination skills as well as your demonstrated understanding of maintenance requirements will be key to succeeding in this role.
