About the Role

Redpath are seeking experienced Batch Plant operators for their MICO project in Mt Isa. In this role you will be responsible for the safe, effective and productive operation of the batch plant and associated equipment as directed by the Supervisor. You may also be required to take ownership of transport or spraying operations where qualified with focus on ensuring work is conducted is to the highest quality standard achievable emphasis given to the safety of the individual and all others.  

Duties

in accordance with Redpath and Client's Management Systems, perform the works as directed, with particular emphasis on Safety, Efficiency and Quality;

provide a high standard of service focusing on the preparation of quality mixes and testing specimens;

direct and participate in maintaining the batch plant and surrounding areas to a high standard;

drive and champion the site’s quality assurance guidelines;

ensure machinery used is cleaned and presented for service regularly and any mechanical issues or damage is reported immediately;

accurately complete all required daily activity and safety reporting;

ensure the safe and efficient completion of all tasks as assigned by Supervisor;

attend and contribute to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, roster change and shift change meetings when required;

complete all pre start checks prior to use of equipment;

conduct Take 5's and JSA's when required;

report immediately any incidents, accidents or near misses;

any other duties that Redpath may direct you to perform, which you are capable of performing.

Skills & Experience

experience with the operation of batch plant agitators or haul truck machinery in an

underground environment;

ablility to multi-skill in underground operations;

current G1 Safety Induction - Metalliferous Core & Underground;

current first aid & CPR qualifications

valid manual car drivers licence;

the ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised;

good communication skills, both verbal and written;

able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and complete assigned tasks safely;

a safety approach upholding Redpath's motto Safety - First, Last and Always;

able to prioritise and schedule tasks according to changing priorities.
