About the Role and Project

This is your chance to join the Redpath Team in Mount Isa. As part of the role you will provide HSEQ and Training support to our two Ground Support contracts, at George Fisher and Mount Isa Mines

The Glencore George Fisher Zinc Mine is located 20km from Mount Isa, close to local amenities and a family friendly community environment. These duties include but not limited;

coordinate and participate in Redpath’s workplace inspection schedule on site including tracking personnel participation levels;

conduct risk assessment and JSA training;

prepare and conduct toolbox and safety meetings;

assist the operations with the risk management processes on site such as JSA’s and risk assessments;

develop and implement training modules for the workforce.

Skills & Experience;

A safety and leadership approach in keeping with Redpath's motto Safety - First, Last and Always.

experience in a Safety Professional role within the mining, construction or heavy industry;

certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent;

certificate IV in Training and Assessment;

current senior First Aid certificate;

qualified or be able to become a qualified Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator;

experience in Underground Mining ground support will be highly regarded;

current Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) qualifications;

knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation legislation in Queensland;

knowledge of Intelex, BSafe or similar systems;

valid manual drivers licence;

sound interpersonal and conflict resolution skills;

proven leadership skills and the ability to lead by example;

solid planning and organisational skills to schedule and allocate works;

ability to problem solve and be adaptable;

high attention to detail;

outstanding integrity;

strive for continuous improvement and innovation;

ability to work well with others in a team environment and unsupervised;

excellent verbal and written communication skills;
