An opportunity for a Process Control Manager is now available to lead the Process Control activities on the Iron Bridge Project. This is a senior role, reporting to the Area Manager Wet Plant, and will be responsible for leading the process control scope for the entire project from design, through off-site testing, site commissioning, and successful handover to Operations. This role will be based in the Perth Project office with eventual migration to site.
Key accountabilities will include:
Lead the Process Control team and successful delivery of the control system to suit the Project objectives.
Responsibility for an integrated team of designers, hardware suppliers and software integrators scope and deliverables, with strong alignment with project functional teams.
Programming and troubleshooting in HMI, SCADA and PLC Programming – GE FANUC;
Experience with PCS on programming and networking;
To plan and carry out the work in accordance with the program/schedule, execution plans, commissioning procedures, method statements and work packs for the PCS scope of work.
Provide information to the Area Managers and Commissioning Manager to support progress and quality of work.
Commissioning process documentation data collection and scheduling.
Apply software engineering across company PCS systems, including Programming, Pilz Programming (PNOZ Configurator), Network Device setup (Various Software's and GUI's)
Own the PCS system and execute safely with onsite activities;
Support offsite/onsite engineering team and system integrators;
Work with relevant stake holder to delivery project successfully within responsible areas;
Work with company Health and safety requirements to execute and support onsite activities;
Qualifications and skills required:
Leadership skills and experience leading complex metallurgical plant control systems from design, through testing to successful commissioning and handover.
A recognised qualification in Control or Instrument Engineering Degree
Knowledge and experience in Mining, with Iron Ore and Metallurgical Plant experience necessary.
Engineering documentation knowledge, including block diagrams, PFDs, SLD's, P&IDs, Schematics, Wiring drawings, Data Sheets and safety critical elements Experience and the ability to design and implement industrial based systems
Experience of communication devices, GE PLC, PILZ Safety System and Networking devices
Experience of working with various HMI, SCADA platforms especially for the Mining industry
Knowledge and experience with various interface protocols like EGD, PROFINET, MODBUS, OPC etc. Interface
An understanding of basic programming, scripting and SQL database
Understanding of Cybersecurity, CCTV , Security Systems, TETRA, AHS interfaces
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
