About The Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Automation & Software Engineer to join our Narrabri underground operations. You will be accountable for monitoring activity at the mine in line with the mine’s safety management systems, production plans and security systems.

Your responsibilities will include a combination of office based design and development works and site based commissioning both on the surface and underground. You will support works ensuring a high level of safety, productive and reliable standard, whilst ensuring compliance with all statutory Act & Regulatory requirements.

About You

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications and qualities:

Ideal

Experience in design, configuration, maintenance and commissioning of Control Systems

A proven track record and experience with CitectSCADA and Allen Bradley PLC’s

Communication systems including fixed and wireless technologies, LAN / WAN / Radio link networks

Working knowledge of standard networking, routing & common communication protocols including TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, OPC, Modbus, DeviceNet.

Electrical trade background, engineering, or computer science

A current Australian Driver’s License – Manual

Desirable

Previous experience in mining highly regarded

Experience in large scale distributed server client SCADA system highly regarded

Experience in FTView ME and PanelView Plus

Experience in CitectHistorian or other Historian package

Experience in virtual environment MS Hyper-V or VMWare vSphere infrastructure

Experience in IT System Administration, MSSQL and SSIS, SSRS

Experience in Microsoft .NET based technologies and object oriented programming languages, web front end software technologies such as C#, Java, CSS, AJAX, HTML5, XML, ASP.NET, MVC.NET
