We are now seeking applications from experienced HSE Advisors to join our shutdown teams on a casual basis. The positions will be for an immediate start and located on various projects across Western Australia.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for:

Management of injuries and providing the employee with the most prompt and effective care and attention whilst producing a prompt and cost effective solution for the project

Supporting the projects health, safety, and environment and quality systems

Instilling the required safety culture by personal instruction, example, and leadership

Ensuring, conducting, implementing and maintaining Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s), Safe Acts Observations (SAO’s) and Take 5’s for the project

Attending site safety meetings and assisting committee members to resolve issues raised and develop employee involvement initiatives

Ensuring all work practices are carried out in a safe manner and comply with all applicable legislation and RCR’s occupational safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures, to achieve a zero tolerance of unsafe practices

Maintain all training records, certification and competencies as specified by RCR in the training matrix or other identified recording methods

Identify and deliver training packages as the business requires and ensure effective outcomes are achieved and recorded

Manage injuries (Workers Compensation) to provide the injured or sick person with prompt and effective care and medical attention whilst delivering prompt and cost-effective solutions for the project

Coordinating and completing all reports for corporate reporting

Additional duties within scope and experience as requested by Safety, Health & Environment Manager

To be considered for this position you will require:

Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety

Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment

Current WA Drivers licence

Knowledge of workshop equipment associated with fabrication and heavy machining

Knowledge of material handling through fixed and mobile lifting equipment

Understanding of safety management, on the job training systems and processes

Current Senior First Aid Certificate

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills
