As an integral part of our on-site safety team, you will work back to back with our existing Safety & Training Coordinator on an 8/6 roster, allowing for a great balance between work and lifestyle. With the option to reside a short trip away in the closely located Majors Creek and Braidwood, or travel in each day from areas such as Batemans Bay, Tarago or Queanbeyan there is sure to be the lifestyle fit for you!
WHAT YOUR DAY TO DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
Coach and mentor workers, encouraging safe behaviour through observations and demonstration of proactive safety actions whilst always showing a genuine care for all workers health, safety and welfare;
Deliver training and assess competency levels;
Facilitate risk assessments;
Work closely with stakeholders to maintain and improve WHS systems and compliance;
Accurately maintain the site training matrix;
Assist in the management of injuries and rehabilitation of injured workers;
Lead incident analysis.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Underground Safety & Training Coordinator role;
Cert IV in Training & Assessment;
Positive can-do attitude with the ability to work collaboratively across departments;
Residing or a willingness to relocate for the role
