We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Geotechnical Engineers to provide geotechnical support to our mining operations. You may also be an Engineering Geologist, Geotechnical Engineer or Specialist Civil Engineer with tunnel boring experience and looking to expand your mining industry experience.

The range of experience to be gained includes:

Providing geotechnical input into the mine planning process

Monitoring slope and dump performance

Reporting on Fall of Ground events and providing remediation strategies

Updating the site operational and technical services teams on geotechnical risks

Ensuring Geotechnical Instrumentation is maintained and operational

Contributing to the HSEQ management plan for the Mine Technical Services (MTS) team

About you

To secure one of these roles it would be great if you had:

A Bachelor Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering or equivalent

Sound knowledge and experience with rock mechanics

Some previous operational experience in an open pit mining environment

Exposure to Vulcan, geotechnical design packages and Microsoft Office software

Strong communication and technical report writing skills

The ability to work safely autonomously and in a team in a remote work environment

A current Australian open driver’s licence
