The Human Resources Superintendent position is accountable for providing HR advice, coaching and support to the Narrabri Coal management team and site line management. The position reports to the General Manager – Narrabri and is a member of the site leadership team. Working collaboratively with line managers this role delivers solutions to people related issues in a proactive manner, positively impacting the business and employees.
The position will provide advice and support on employee relations matters, IR, recruitment, HR policy and procedures. This role is pivotal in creating a positive culture and maintaining a workplace that supports the achievement of KPI’s through appropriate leadership behaviours, superior performance and solid workplace systems and structures.
It is a hands on role with no direct reports and you have full HR responsibility on site.
About You or Skills / Experience
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications and personal qualities:
Ideally 5 yrs+ HR experience
Proven experience in partnering with line managers to successfully achieve people related outcomes is essential;
Tertiary qualiﬁcations in Human Resources, Business or related disciplines are also a prerequisite;
Experience in mining, manufacturing or heavy industry environments would be well regarded
Understanding of the payroll process and performance management
Personal attributes for success in this role include excellent interpersonal skills, high level written and verbal communication skills and strong organisational skills.
