Reporting to the Area Operations Supervisor, the MPU Operator is responsible for the operation of Open Cut MPU in a safe and efficient manner in order to provide a quality product for the purpose of blasting at the site. In addition the MPU Operator will be responsible for the delivery of emulsion based explosives in alignment with the services supplied on site.
Blast Crew, MPU Operator and/or related industry experience
A flawless record and attitude with regard to health and safety (Take 5, Workplace Inspections, Pre-Starts, Safe Work Instructions etc.)
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent time management
Self-starting independent team member with a positive and proactive attitude
Dangerous Goods License
Heavy Rigid Vehicle License
Forklift License (desirable)
Have the aptitude to use computer software
State and site specific mine license requirements, and
Security Sensitive Ammonium Nitrate (SSAN) Clearance (QLD).
