BGC Contracting have an opportunity for an experienced HSET Supervisor to join our South Australia Operations.
Reporting to our HSET Superintendent, the HSET Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Health, Safety, Environment, & Training Management System at the Project; promoting & encouraging Health, Safety, Environment, & Training awareness & a safe working culture amongst site personnel; and assisting with training & implementation of safety initiatives.
You will be responsible for:
Facilitate the development of a safe working culture amongst personnel.
Promote Health, Safety, Environment, & Training awareness, accountability and responsibility.
Assist, coach and mentor supervision and direct reports.
Coordinate site inductions and follow up of the BGC TRISAFE awareness program.
Coordinate the Implementation and ongoing maintenance of the training for all employees.
Liaise with managers to develop and maintain training plans for their teams.
Preparation and maintenance of relevant safety documentation and records.
Report Health, Safety, Environment, & Training performance including trend analysis.
Facilitate the site Health, Safety, Environment, & Training Committee and Toolbox meetings
Management of Workers Compensation/Rehabilitation of employees.
Development of site specific Health, Safety, Environment, and Training systems and processes.
Coordinate and assist with incident investigations.
Development and review of emergency procedures.
Development and facilitation in health promotion initiatives
Assist in development of risk assessments using the appropriate tools and safe work procedures and monitor the implementation of controls.
Coordinate project hazard inspection and audit programs.
Advise on changes in Legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards
Provide technical Health, Safety, Environment, & Training information and experience
Provide Health, Safety, Environment, & Training review and input to Method statements & work-packs.
Lead any Health, Safety and Environment Advisor/s on the project.
Assist the development on the Contract Management System and associated site specific procedures.
Provides clear leadership and direction and promotes and fosters a team culture consistent with the BGC Contracting CHARTER and Values;
Provides regular performance feedback to direct reports and completes annual Performance Appraisals;
Provides coaching, mentoring and development opportunities for direct reports and builds the capability of business unit personnel; and
Any other duties as directed by the HSET Superintendent.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in same/similar role with a minimum of 3-5 years.
Hold a Tertiary qualification in Occupation, Health and Safety or similar.
Cert IV TAE 40110 or 40116.
Current Driver’s Licence.
