The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fleet Manager to join Komatsu to work alongside a major mining Customer in the Hunter Valley. The purpose of this role is to support the fleet of Komatsu mobile equipment including 830E haul trucks and P&H L1850 Loaders. 

The Role

Reporting to the Key Account Manager, this role will be responsible for the day to day monitoring of the fleet to understand and act on equipment health, visual inspections and condition monitoring, to assist with availability, productivity and maintenance optimisation projects.

In addition to this, this role is also responsible for managing all the Komatsu activities in relation to the fleet on the Mount Thorley Warkworth Operations Site in a safe and cost-efficient manner.

To be considered for this position you must have:

Minimum Trade Qualification in the Maintenance and Repair of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment.

Post Training in Management /Supervisory Role.

Excellent understanding and commitment to Safety.

High sales skills with strong customer focus.

Strong computer mainframe experience including Microsoft suite, SAP, Dynamics, Linkone.

Well-developed written and oral Skills.

Good organisational skills with ability to coordinate and supervise multiple maintenance projects at the same time.

Ability to communicate with Customers, Komatsu, P&H, KAC, Cummins and Visitors at all levels, both written and verbal.

Must have a working knowledge local and mine specific, Environment, OH&S, and Industrial Legislation.

Must have Motor Vehicle license
