Reporting to the Superintendent Safety, Health & Training, the Safety Advisor assist in the provision of safety leadership in the field, promoting site compliance with corporate and site safety standards, implement safety directives that improve safety performance, and ensure site safety policies and procedures are aligned with Commonwealth and State regulations and legislation. The position will be responsible for the coordination of the site incident and event management systems, providing ongoing support and training

To be successful in the position we ideally require the below:

A minimum 3 years’ experience in a Maintenance and Operations similar role (metalliferous mining experience highly regarded)

Demonstrated experience in the development, co-ordination and execution of environmental and/ or hygiene monitoring programs

Demonstrated experience in the management of monitoring information (including validation and reporting)

Exposure to information management software, including: SAP, ESDAT/ Sample Manager, ArcGIS, ESRI

Experience in the maintenance and continuous improvement of environmental and/ or safety management systems

Exposure to the scoping and execution of SSHE related projects

Suitable degree qualification and complimentary certificates in OHS or equivalent.

Trainer and Assessor Cert IV - mandatory

WHS Cert IV minimum - mandatory

A full manual drivers licence
