Reporting to the Drill & Blast Supervisor, blast crew members are responsible for the safe preparation, loading and firing of blast holes. You will be encouraged to challenge the status quo though continuous learning and improvement.
With an overriding commitment to health and safety, you work efficiently and effectively in a team environment, while assisting to achieve production targets and low cost mining.
Skills and Requirements include:
Demonstrated current relevant working experience in a similar role
WA Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
WA Shot Firer’s is desirable
Current C class drivers licence
Experience with pyrotechnic and electronic detonation systems
Good communication skills and a can do attitude
Beneficial, but not mandatory
Experience operating production drills
Experience operating mining production equipment such as haul trucks, loaders, dozers, excavators or graders.
