About the Position

We are currently seeking suitably experienced and qualified personnel for the position of Auto Electrician to carry out all aspects of mobile plant electrical / mechanical maintenance on the Emeco and clients fleet of heavy earthmoving machinery.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for repairing all electrical faults and maintaining Emeco (and customer) equipment / machinery ensuring availability / integrity as well as the following duties;

Focus on safe working environment and quality of workmanship;

Ongoing repairs and maintenance of Emeco (and customer) equipment;

Troubleshoot faults including experience with OEM diagnostic systems;

Maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar, Komatso & Hitachi equipment, within budgets and time frames – namely,

Caterpillar 785C/D dump trucks;

Caterpillar D10T dozers;

Caterpillar 777 water carts;

Caterpillar 16G/M graders;

Caterpillar 980H wheel loader;

Hitachi EX1200 & EX1900 excavators; and

Komatsu PC1250 & PC2000 excavators.

Ability to attain a National Police Clearance certificate;

Current (and valid) Australian Driver’s license;

Working with the Emeco customer to meet company objectives; and

Quality control on all work performed.

Your Skills and Experience

Nationally recognised Auto Electrician trade qualification;

Nationally accredited Automotive Air-conditioning licence;

Ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised;

A dedicated attitude to following OHS policies and procedures;

Must be able to pass pre-employment medical along with police and regular drug and alcohol tests;

Good communication skills;

Recent National Police Clearance or ability to attain if successful;

Current (and valid) Australian Driver’s license;

Sound knowledge of Caterpillar (and Komatsu) equipment and systems would be an advantage; and

High Risk licence would be desirable but not essential.

This position is offered as FIFO (ex Perth) direct chartered flight to the mine site, 7 Days / 7 Nights / 7 Days off, 12 hours / shift.
