About the Project and Role:
Monadelphous are carrying out a 4 month maintenance shutdown at Hay Point (30km South of Mackay). The scope of work will include 2 packages providing maintenance for current berth access for the ship loader, strength and flange remediation repair work and structural repairs.
To assist us with the shutdown we are actively seeking an experienced Plant and Equipment / Logistics Coordinator with a background in either Coal Mining or Shipping (ideally).
We are interested to hear from local Mackay residents in particular but will also consider individuals from the state of QLD that are able to FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO to site.
Camp accommodation, perm rooms and meals provided.
Key responsibilities and requirements include:
Demonstrate ability to manage staff and the clients
Ability to adapt and think outside of the box to changing requirements
Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet contractual and project schedules
Experienced in maintenance (preferably coal or shipping)
Experienced in managing plant and equipment as well as other logistics
Proven leadership, coordination and supervision to achieve outcomes
Experienced in procurement processes and procedures
To be considered for this role, you will have previous maintenance experience and the ability to liaise daily with the client, on-site client representatives, white and blue-collar staff. Well-developed communication and written skills, with the ability to prepare correspondence and reports (essential).
This is a critical role to the shutdown and as such we are required to carry out a full coal board medical plus drug and alcohol screening prior to mobilising.
